David Gordon Chairman

David Gordon has over 25 years experience in the advisory industry specialising in financial, tax and business advisory. He has been a partner since 1985 in GHR Accounting Group (www.ghr.com.au), a BRW top 100 accounting practice and is a foundation director of Premium Wealth Management Ltd. Premium has over 20 investment advisory firms as members and supervises the investment of over $2.5 billion of clients’ monies. David is also on the board of Premium.

David has extensive experience in portfolio construction and in ensuring that managed investment schemes and structured and other financial products are relevant for individual investment portfolios.

David holds a practising certificate with CPA Australia, is a registered tax agent and a current member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia. He also has a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) from University of Technology Sydney. Back to Top

George Lucas Managing Director

George Lucas has over 24 years experience in the investment banking and fund management industry specialising in developing, managing and structuring financial products. George was previously a director of two listed investment trusts, the Chief Investment officer of Mariner Financial, the head of the London equity derivative trading and structuring department for First Chicago and the head trader of equity derivatives with Citibank in the United Kingdom.

George is responsible for managing Instreet, setting the strategy in conjunction with the board, developing and structuring financial products. He has extensive experience in product strategy, managing investment risk, portfolio management, and regulatory compliance. He is also experienced in using financial instruments to manage foreign exchange risk and interest rate exposure.George has consulted to hedge fund managers both in Australia and internationally and is a regular presenter at finance industry forums. He has also written books and tertiary courses regarding the use of derivatives.

George holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of New South Wales and is a member ofthe Australian Institute of Company Directors. Back to Top

Ian Rae Director

Ian Rae has over 25 years experience in the advisory industry specialising in financial, tax and business advisory. Ian has been a partner since 1993 at GHR Accounting Group (www.ghr.com.au), a BRW Top 100 Accounting practice with over $200 million of assets under advisement. He has extensive experience in portfolio construction and in ensuring that managed investment schemes and structured and other financial products are relevant for individual investment portfolios.

Ian holds a practising certificate with CPA Australia, is a Fellow of the Tax Institute of Australia, a registered Tax Agent and a current member of the Financial Planning Association of Australia. He also has a Bachelor of Business Studies from the University of Technology Sydney. Back to Top

Justin Byrne Sales and Business Development Principal

Justin Byrne has over 10 years experience in the bank and fund management industry specialising in retail banking and managed investment scheme products. Justin was previously a business development manager at Mariner Financial, responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with financial advisers, brokers and private banks in the NSW region.

Justin is responsible for managing Instreet’s sales and marketing strategy and has experience in selling structured products, property and infrastructure managed investment schemes and other financial products. Justin has also been involved in business development at Zurich and a manager at Westpac. Justin was involved with Mariner Financial from inception and helped to raise $1.2 billion of assets under management.

Justin has a Graduate Certificate in Finance from the University of Technology Sydney and is currently completing his Masters in Finance. Back to Top

Susanne Bransgrove

Susanne has been working in the financial services industry in Australia for 11 years. Most recently with Macquarie as a State Manager and National Account Manager for the Macquarie Funds Group. During her tenure with Macquarie Susanne was responsible for the distribution of both structured products and open funds to boutique and national dealer groups. Before Macquarie, Susanne worked with Great Southern in sales and distribution. Susanne brings her wide investment product experience and networks to Instreet and will be involved in national distribution and product research and development.

Originally from Germany, Susanne completed a four year German Banking and Finance qualification, before emigrating to Australia and starting her career at the ANZ Bank in Corporate Banking. In 2004 Susanne completed a double major in accounting and is recently a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Back to Top

Gabriel Carey

Gabriel has over 8 years experience in the financial services industry and was the State Manager for Macquarie's Structured and Specialist Investments prior to joining Instreet. Gabriel also spent five years with an agribusiness investment company as the national marketing and distribution manager.

Before commencing his career in finance, Gabriel spent 10 years as an Officer in the Royal Australian Air Force where he held a number of positions including Queensland Recruitment Manager, Human Resource Manager and Engineer Flight Commander in a numerous international operations. Gabriel was the top national graduate for his Diploma of Financial planning in 2001, was the Boutique Business Development Manager of the year in 2007, SA BDM of the year, holds an honours degree in Civil Engineering a Diploma of Financial Planning from Deakin University and is currently studying his MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management.
