Instreet offers an Asian equity option
07 July 2009- Instreet offers an Asian equity option -
Sydney-based boutique asset manager Instreet Investment Limited plans to add the option of exposure to the Asian equity market in its next Link DPA Series.
Instreet’s Link Series I, II, III and IV, which have been well received by the market, have only offered Australian equities exposure linked to the S&P/ASX 200.
Instreet managing director George Lucas says the new planned series will allow investors to be exposed to major Asian equities – ex-Japan - by tracking the Standard & Poors Asia 50 index.
“This will allow investors to take advantage of projected higher earnings and GDP growth in the region when compared with Australia or other major global markets.
“Our long-term view is that investors should be overweight in Asian equities as part of their global portfolios.”
Lucas says the Link DPA raisings are an outstanding result for his team in a difficult market environment.
“Instreet’s success so far has been due to the simplicity of the product that is providing participation in the Australian equity market.
“We are confident we will replicate this success with the new Asian series.”
Mr Lucas says the Instreet Link DPAs are designed to allow advisers to build made-to-order strategies for clients, whether accumulators or pensioners.
